SDL Trados Studio 2009 Getting Started Course for translators

This one day course is designed for new users of SDL Trados Studio and will teach attendees how to use the new features and functionality of SDL Trados Studio 2009. This course is the first step in understanding how to leverage the full power of SDL Trados Studio 2009 to increase your productivity. At the end of this course, attendees will be able to open, translate and review documents. The course provides all of the knowledge attendees need to pass their SDL Trados Studio 2009 Level 1 exam.

SDL Trados Studio 2009 Intermediate Course for translators

This one day course is designed to teach attendees some of the more detailed functionality available in SDL Trados Studio 2009, building up knowledge and increasing productivity. At the end of this course, attendees will be able to:

• Translate multiple files (MS Word and PowerPoint)
• Open and translate a PDF document
• Understand how to undertake Quality Assurance user the QA Checker
• How to configure translation memories
• DTP file formats
• Creating AutoSuggest dictionaries
• Customizing keyboard shortcuts
  

This course is for translators who have already started to work with SDL Trados Studio 2009 and may have already attended the SDL Trados Studio Getting Started course or the Upgrade course. The course provides all of the knowledge attendees need to pass their SDL Trados Studio 2009 Level 2 exam.

SDL Trados Studio 2009 Advanced Course for translators
This one day course is designed to deepen attendee’s knowledge of SDL Trados Studio 2009 and provide them with strong technical knowledge of the features used as part of their daily tasks including:

• Alignment
• Translation memory maintenance
• Advanced translation memory options
• AutoSuggest™
• Mark-up language formats (HTML)
• Mark-up language formats (XML)
• Terminology verification
  

This course is for translators who have already attended either the SDL Trados Studio 2009 intermediate course or the Upgrade course. The course provides all of the knowledge attendees need to pass their SDL Trados Studio 2009 Level 3 exam.

Upgrade from SDL Trados 2007 to SDL Trados Studio 2009

This one day course is designed for existing users – translators and project managers - of SDL Trados 2007 and will teach delegates how to use the new features and functionality of SDL Trados Studio 2009. Delegates will also learn the most efficient ways to upgrade their existing SDL Trados 2007 resources i.e. upgrading translation memories, termbases and tag settings files.

This course is the first step to understanding how to leverage the full power of SDL Trados Studio 2009 to increase your productivity. The course also shows delegates how to handle scenarios that involve both users of SDL Trados Studio 2009 and users of SDL Trados 2007.
The course provides all of the knowledge attendees need to pass their SDL Trados Studio Level 1 exam.

SDL Trados Studio 2009 for Project Managers
This one day course is designed to introduce Project Managers to the SDL Trados Studio 2009 project management component and will give attendees an overview of project management automation using SDL Trados Studio 2009. Upon completion of this course, delegates will be able to create, prepare and manage localisation projects.

The course provides all of the knowledge attendees need to pass their SDL Trados Studio 2009 Project Manager exam.
